<br />Mr. Fred Hastings, Murphy and ,Hastings Engineering firm, appeared
<br />before the Commission with the completed topographic map of Stulsaft
<br />Park. He pointed out possible access roads for maintenance of the
<br />park. He also advised that there is a total of only about eleven
<br />acres of level land, scattered throughout the park. .Afther further
<br />discussion regarding parking prospects, etc., MSC Maurice Schutz and
<br />William Hanley that the Park and Recreation Commission go on record
<br />as opposing a fairyland site in Stulsaft Park, and that a letter to
<br />this effect be sent to the city council.

<br />MSC Maurice Schutz and Willi~ Hanley that a letter be written to
<br />the city council recommending that the real estate commdttee of the
<br />city council investigate the possible acquisition of Lots 28 and 29,
<br />Block 908, Hi~l~s E~ra1d Lùe No.1 at Jefferson md Dover. The
<br />co~ssion is advised that these lots can be obtained from the county
<br />'" wi,thout cost. These lots to be developed in the future to provide
<br />recreational facilities in that area.

<br />MSC Maurice Schutz and William Hanley that a letter be written to the
<br />city council recommending that the city secure surface rights for usage
<br />from the San Francisco Water Department on Lots 16-17-18-19, Block 910
<br />in Highlands Emerald Lake No.1, located at Piedmont and Altamont.

<br />MSC William Hanley and Mau,rice Schutz that a letter be written to the
<br />city council asking that the city manager put out a contract for the
<br />grading and paving of Dickey Street. This money is available in the
<br />1955-56Park Depart~nt budget. .

<br />Commissioner Catherine Brennan commended Recreation Supervisor
<br />Kay Sandas for her recent picture in the Tribune, regarding sign-ups
<br />for swimming.
<br />
<br />Commissioner Alyn Beals asked if some improvement could be made at
<br />the entrance to the Community Park parking lot. He stated that it
<br />is in very poor condition.
<br />
<br />Catherine Brenna, chairman of the nominating committee, offered the
<br />following names for officers of the Park and Recreation Commåssion
<br />for the 1956-57 ye~:

<br />Chairman, Gerry Verssen; Vice-chairman, Louise Tornell; Secretary,
<br />Maurice Schutz.

<br />Alyn Beals seconded the nominations. Motion carried.

<br />Chairman Irving Gold expressed appreciation to the commission, Pasco
<br />Balzarini and Alfred Morton for the fine cooperation during the past
<br />year. He turned the meeting over to the new chàirman, Gerry Verssen.
