The regular meet'ing of the Park and Recreation Commtssion was called to order at 8:00 p.m. It was opened with a short movie presented by the Recreation Department. This movie was on a few of the acti vi t'ies of the Department and it is a future plan of the Recreation in con- junction with the Park Department to develop a complete series of the activities that take place in Redwood City area. ~ ~ Roll call was called by Chairwoman Tornell: Commissioners present, Catherine Brennan; Alyn Beals; Maurice Schutz; Irving Gold;, James Knecht, and Chairwoman Louise Tornell.' Commissioner Irving Gold made his report. E. T. Bass bid was accepted for water and sewer lines to the site of ComJrort Station No.1. Also the Park Department has completed the planting of trees around the walls. Mr. Gold gave a financial report of the original $1°1°00 alloc~ed for the deve,lopment of Stulsaft Park a profit of ~8,oOO has been made from Oddstad from mining; Approxima t e 11 $10,000 has been s pent at thi s t 1me and i t leaves $8,000 or $9,000 for phase #2. He concluded his report by saying that everything is moving right along. ~ Item #2 - Yacht Harbor. In the absence of C.issioner Hmley it was referred to Commissioner ~old. Due to the fact of Commissioner Golds absence from the community so much of the time he referred to Mr. Morton for a report of the Marine Harbor Committee meeting. The Marine Harbor Committee recommended the nates'for mall tie'ups' be raised to $1.00 start1~ J~~y, W58. Second reco~ndation by the comittee was that the H~bor M~ter be in control of tM 11:00 o'clock p~ty curfew ~ the YacM Harbor Bulldi~. Third Decommendation was that the t ravel speed for boats be 5 !mots per hour. Commissioner Gold moved that the acceptance of a ction and recommendations of the Marine Harbor Committee be approved, 1 twas seconded by Commtssioner Brennan.
