This movie was on a few of the acti vi t'ies <br />of the Department and it is a future plan of the Recreation in con- <br />junction with the Park Department to develop a complete series of the <br />activities that take place in Redwood City area. ~ ~ <br /> <br />Roll call was called by Chairwoman Tornell: Commissioners present, <br />Catherine Brennan; Alyn Beals; Maurice Schutz; Irving Gold;, James <br />Knecht, and Chairwoman Louise Tornell.' His personel <br />appeumce was in regard to the Fairo~s Little Lea~e which was to <br />be brought up later in the meeting. <br /> <br />.. ' <br /> <br />-" <br /> <br />Item#l - Stulsaft Park. Commissioner Irving Gold made his report. <br />E. T. Bass bid was accepted for water and sewer lines to the site of <br />ComJrort Station No.1. Also the Park Department has completed the <br />planting of trees around the walls. Mr. Gold gave a financial <br />report of the original $1°1°00 alloc~ed for the deve,lopment of <br />Stulsaft Park a profit of ~8,oOO has been made from Oddstad from <br />mining; Approxima t e 11 $10,000 has been s pent at thi s t 1me and i t <br />leaves $8,000 or $9,000 for phase #2. He concluded his report by <br />saying that everything is moving right along. ~ <br /> <br />Item #2 - Yacht Harbor. In the absence of C.issioner Hmley it <br />was referred to Commissioner ~old. Due to the fact of Commissioner <br />Golds absence from the community so much of the time he referred to <br />Mr. Morton for a report of the Marine Harbor Committee meeting. <br />The Marine Harbor Committee recommended the nates'for mall tie'ups' <br />be raised to $1.00 start1~ J~~y, W58. Second reco~ndation <br />by the comittee was that the H~bor M~ter be in control of tM <br />11:00 o'clock p~ty curfew ~ the YacM Harbor Bulldi~. Third <br />Decommendation was that the t ravel speed for boats be 5 !mots per <br />hour. Commissioner Gold moved that the acceptance of a ction and <br />recommendations of the Marine Harbor Committee be approved, 1 twas <br />seconded by Commtssioner Brennan. Commissioner Schut z and Mr. <br />Morton marle a report of their findings of this area.
