REDWOOD CITY PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION February 3, 1960 ~ The regular me~t~ng or the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order by Chaiman Maurice Schutz at 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at the Veterans Mem~rial Building. On roll call the follo,~i.ng were present Chairman Maurice Schut z, Commissioners: Louise Tornell, Alyn Beals, JaMes Knecht and Wally Harder. Noted absent were co~issioners Catherine Brennan and Ray Lunny. Also present were staff members Red Morton, recreation director and Pasco Balzarini, park superintendent. M, S. C. that the minmes of Ja~ry 6 be ~proved as mailed. ,. Chair~n Schmz read a letter from Issy Gold with regards to his resignation. Pasco Balzarini had nothi~-to report on Stulsaft Park. The matter of the softball diamond at Stl1lsaft Park is to be pllt on a tickler file and put back on the agenda again in May. . Yacht~Harbor - There WaS nothing reported. Chairman Schutz appointed C~issioœr Harder to take over this project. . Signs - Co~iss1oœr Knecht spoke ~th the City Manager and he was assured by rim that the signs wou,ld be put up. The s igns re~uested are to be located at Roosevelt and EI Camino, Jefferson and ~l Camino, ~ Roosevelt and Alameda, Jefferson and Alameda, Jefferson at Hawes and Vàlot a and Roosevelt. Also J he was ,assured that the parking lot would be put in at the Li~tle League Field. ... " Rose Garden - Th~ ~lomen' s Club has donated ~Þ200 towards a special fund for the rose garden.
