I~ would be necessary to obtain surface rights <br />from the San Francisco Water Department since the Hetch Hetchy right <br />of way goes through this lot. <br /> <br />A report on the Community Park Playground was requested to be put on <br />the November agenda. <br /> <br />A report on the Little League for 1965 was also requested to be put on <br />the November agenda since a committee should be given time to study the <br />recommendations made by the representative from the State Department of <br />Education. Chairman Knecht appointed Commissioners Doris Thompson and <br />Robert Whitmore to meet with the Recreation Director and submit their <br />findings at the next meeting. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Alyn Beals and Robert Whitmore that the Park De- <br />partment plan for playground equipment at the Dove Beeger Park and sub= <br />mit their plans to the Commission at the November meeting for approval. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Robert Whitmore and Maurice Schutz that a letter <br />be sent to the City Manager requesting that funds be made available in <br />order that the request of the Continental Casualty Company be met as <br />signified in a letter from the Park Superintendent. <br /> <br />A report on the Stafford Park plan was made by Assistant Park Superin- <br />tendent William Shrewy. Following his explanation of the plan Park <br />Superintendent Pasco Balzarini stated that the new policy of the Park <br />Department will be to have all plans approved by the Park and Recreation <br />Commission, City Manager, Recreation Director and Park Superintendent. <br /> <br />There was some discussion regarding the location of the Tiny Tot and <br />Intermediate play areas and Commissioners felt that the area was laid <br />out to meet the needs of the neighborhood. <br /> <br />MSC by Commissioners Schutz and Beals that the Stafford Park plan be <br />accepted. At this point Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini stated <br />that he will refuse to sign this plan since it was not in his thinking. <br />Chairman Knecht them polled the Commissioners and again they all voted <br />to accept the plan. <br /> <br />A report was made by Planning Director Dick Wilkinson on the Motorcycle <br />Hill project. He stated that he had met with several members of the <br />Elementary School District and at the present time the District Archi- <br />tect is going over the plan, but as yet has not had time to render a <br />report. Earl Whitaker, Assistant School Superintendent, noted the need <br />for a site in this area, but whether this would be the logical site he <br />could not say.
