Mr. Morton stated the original plan of the <br />playground equipment layout submi tted wa's accepted. Dis- <br />cussion was held on Park & Recreation plans being sent to <br />Council. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on Dove Beeger Park ,& Stafford Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Whitmore read correspondence from City Manager re- <br />garding preparation of a general parks and recreation plan <br />for Redwood City, in the near future. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />Report on Friendly Acres project. <br /> <br />This item was held over until meeting of March 3, .,1965, <br />because of lack of report. <br /> <br />Report on Baseball. meeting. <br /> <br />This item was held over until meeting of March 3, 1965, <br />because of lack o,f report I meeting to be held on Feb. 10. <br /> <br />Report was given by Committee on Covering the Creek at Community <br />Park. <br /> <br />Commissioner Beals stated. Committee is to get outside re- <br />ports on this; he said that to get quotes on the size pipe <br />that is needed, is difficult. Commissioner Beals suggested <br />putting this subject on next month's Agenda as Item #3, be- <br />cause the Committee is waiting for outside independent es- <br />timates, and should have them for the March meeting. <br /> <br />Progress Report by Park & Recreation Commission Committee on <br />over-all future planning for Park and Recreation Land <br />Acquisition. Commissioner Whitmore gave report on certain <br />areas of Redwood City needing parks. He submitted the <br />Committee's report on land acquisition, as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br />2. <br /> <br />Taft School Area <br />Spring st.
