II <br /> <br />Letter from City Manager regarding Master Plan for Park & Recreation <br />Facilities. Mr. Neal explained that he is in favor of getting <br />outside help for our Master P'lan, but that the Council thinks <br /> <br />. .. <br />we do not need 1t, because of the fact that we have our own <br />Planning Commission and Park & Recreation Commission. <br /> <br />Letter from Assistant City Manager telling the Commission that he <br />will be glad to keep us informed and give us any information <br />, he has available on the progress of Redwood Shores. <br /> <br />Letter from City Manager concerning Community Park Creek Covering. <br />He states that money is not in the bond issue for purpose of <br />covering the creek. But if everything goes along smoothly <br />for the City, and there is no added expense, there will be <br />money for the purpose. Mr. Neal wrote that he thinks the <br />Commission should meet with the Council at least once a year <br />to discuss mutual problems. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />Mrs. Spencer, member of Redwood Nursery School, presented <br />plans of the proposed shed that is to be used by the 2-year <br />olds. It is to go behind the new houses that have been built <br />.in the area. Motion was made by Commissioner Tornell that we <br />approve these plans and forward it to the City Manager to be <br />put on a one-year revocable permit, seconded by Commissioner <br />Stuart and carried on roll call vote. <br /> <br />Mr. John Rogers, 1182 Junipero appeared in regard to 3 is- <br />lands in the vicinity of the new five-point overpass area. <br />He suggested that the Commission put shrubbery and greenery <br />out in the islands, instead of letting the State cement them <br />over.
