They would increase the school size standards for size of
land for the school, and this in turn may result in a total increase
of amount of land available. He said that the Planning Commission
recommended that we combine Park & Recreation useage with school
useage.

The next step will be the submission for the development plans, he
said. Each of the development plans will come before the Planning
Commission and the City Council. Mr. Ullrich offered bringing along
,Maps as the area progresses each month at Park & Recreation Commiss-
ion ~etings. ~. Ullrich explained ~at the seis~c study is pro-
gressing: that the drilling at the end of Whipple has been completed.

Chairman Beals stated that one of the big problems was underground
construction. He said this is going to have bearing on the
seismic report.

In regard to Mr. Ullrich bringing maps to the meetings, Commission-
er Knecht thinks it would be a good idea. Mr. Ullrich stated
he would be glad to comply with this request.

Chairman Beals stated the next step is the feasibility report, that
basically, Park & Recreation would be included in the feasi-
bility report regarding open space.

Chairman Beals thanked the Project Manager for appearing before the
Commission.

Mr. Beals welcomed Park Superintendent, Pasco Balzarini, back after
his long illness.

Mr. Don Dorfmeier, Sequoia High School, appeared representing The
Redwood City Ramblers Football Team. He stated his team
wants a field in Redwood City to play on, 6 Saturday nights
out of the season, but failed to state the dates he would
like to have. Mr. Dorfmeier suggested putting enough blea-
chers in Becket Field to seat approximately 1,000, and then
his team would have a place to play. Lengthly discussion
on Redwood City Ramblers playing in Redwood City. Mr. Dor-
fmeier stated his team would need only 18 hours of playing
time, excluding practice all together on any of Redwood
City's fields. Park Superintendent recommended putting
this in writing so that it can be worked out.
