<br />l8 <br /> <br />REPORT ON FRIENDLY ACRES PROJECT: <br /> <br />Red Morton, Recreation Superintendent stated this report was <br />held up due to the School Bond Election. On May 26, Council- <br />man Royer will make presentation to the School Board of. this <br />report, and at the June 2 Park & Recreation Meeting, every- <br />thing will be ready. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF A CONSULTANT FOR PREPARATION OF MASTER PLAN FOR <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK & RECREATION FACILITIES AND FUTURE LAND <br />ACQUISITION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Whitmore explained that the Committee for this <br />project wanted to present to the Council a plan for a budget <br />for a consultant. This plan was explained to City Manager. <br />Commissioner Whitmore went on to say that Commission is supp-- <br />ased to put in writing that money is to be appropriated for <br />such a person. This meeting with Mr. Neal produced an answer <br />of lIyesll and he stated that the Commission should try to get <br />this through. Commissioner Thompson stated that this money <br />was to come out of unbudgeted reserve.' <br /> <br />Chairman Beals recommended the Committee follow this up and <br />prepare a letter and get it to Mr. Neal to forward to Mr. <br />Sterling Winans, Consultant; letter should contain the quest- <br />ion of what Mr. Winans fee will be to help Commission out, <br />and should be written before May 14. <br /> <br />REPORT ON HETCH- HETCHY RI GHT-OF- WAY ADJACENT TO FERNSIDE: <br /> <br />Red Morton stated he went out and investigated this property <br />and reported that nothing can be done to improve it. A play- <br />ground could be put in, but Mr. Morton feels money should go <br />other places before being spent on this property. <br /> <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS OF PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Stuart moved the IIRules & Regulations of the Park <br />and Recreation Commission", with the Code, be adopted as out- <br />lined, seconded by Commissioner Thompson, and carried on roll <br />call vote. A copy is to be sent to the City Manager for ~doption. <br /> <br />STAFFORD PARK PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT: <br /> <br />Park Superintendent stated that construction and equipment of the <br />park is going in at the same time in Stafford Park by May 15. <br /> <br />redwood shores: <br /> <br />This report was made by Project Manager, Howard Ullrich at <br />the beginning of the meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />----~----..._- _.,-,--- <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />.
