C. -Port areas and which is <br />being used by the company for final crystalizing salt ponds, <br />the major portions of brine being pumped from across the <br />Bay, and without which there would be no Leslie Salt <br />Company operation. <br /> <br />Chairman Beals asked that Commission have the opportunity <br />to review the Redwood Shores project plans as pertaining to <br />parks and recreation and that the Commission be provided <br />with the portions of the feasibility report which pertain <br />to parks and recreation. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />VETERANS AVENUE BEAUTIFICATION: <br /> <br />Mr. Balzarini reported that his department had not receiv- <br />ed the strip map for the area but expected to get one. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />FRIENDLY ACRES PROJECT: <br /> <br />Mr. Morton reported that architect has been requested to <br />present plans for two types of swimming pools C' at Hoover <br />School (one of regulation type and one 11111 shaped); that <br />preliminary plans should be ready by the end of November; <br />and when final approval is secured from all agencies in- <br />volved, that he would hopeproject would be started in Mar- <br />ch or April of 1966, with probable completion by July 15th. <br /> <br />4. CONSIDERATION OF A CONSULTANT FOR PREPARATION OF A <br />MA,STER PLAN FOR R.C. PARK & RECREATION FACILITIES AND <br />FUTURE LAND ACQUISITION: <br /> <br />A letter dated October 26, 1965, from Mr. Sterling Winans <br />to Mr. Morton was read in which Mr. Winans stated he could <br />start survey in April of 1966 with a final report by Aug- <br />ust.
