<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />August 3, 1966 7:30 p.m. <br />,Veterans Memorial Building. <br /> <br />The regular monthly meeting was called to order by Chairman A1yn <br />Beals at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ON ROLL CALL, the following Commissioners were noted present: <br />Chairman A1yn Beals, Secretary Doris Thompson, Ann Gooding, Jasper <br />Sipes and Jack stuart. ' <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Bob Whitmore - excused (vacation) and James Knecht. <br /> <br />Also present: Director of Recreation, Alfred Morton; Park Super- <br />intendent, Pasco Balzarini; Park Foreman, John Yoshida: Recreation <br />Supervisor, Bill Wooten, and stenographer, Lee Massman. (Mr. <br />Balzarini entered meeting at 8 p.m.) <br /> <br />MINUTES of July 6th meeting were approved as mailed, a typographical <br />error being noted in the spelling of Mr. Yoshida's name. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />1 - Secretary Thomps6nrlread IIbrochure II from S. M. Co. which had <br />been presented to Mr. Balzarini by County Park Dept. re lot in <br />Emerald Lake on Vernal Way at Lakeview intersection for possible <br />donation to city for park - lot size 63x140' (approx. 8800 sq. <br />ft.). Referred to Land Acquisition Committee, Bob Whitmore, <br />chairman, for report at Sept. meeting. \ <br />2 - Copies of 1966-67 City Budget for each commissioner <br />3 - Sug. rules re picknicking and camping at Stu1saft Park <br />4 - Monthly report of Park Dept. for over and above normal <br />park business. <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />REGULAR LEGISLATIVE MEETING: <br /> <br />AGENDA 1 - PRELIMINARY OR FINAL REPORT FROM STERLING S. WINANS, <br />AL YN BEALS: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Chairman Beals said that Mr. Winan's report was expected <br />about August 5th and that if it was felt advisable that a <br />special meeting might be called concerning it. Mr. Morton <br />said that 100 copies had been ordered. Commissioner Gooding <br />asked if copies would be sent to Citizens' Committee. Mr. <br />Beals advised waiting for report.
