Henderson <br />and City Manager Ullrich present - and said that he had not known <br />of the meeting as commission representative to Marina Committee; <br />. that report contained some excellent recommendations but there <br />still was no over-all plans for developing at the Marina. Mr. <br />Sipes said that the Park & Recreation Survey Committee of the <br />Citizens Committee had made some good suggestions for over-all <br />planning to include some park area, etc., and that their suggest- <br />ions should be considered. - - <br /> <br />S.M. REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE, WATERWAYS SUB-COMMITTEE: <br />Mr. Sipes, commission representative, said that RPC was most con- <br />cerned about the not cutting through of Belmont Slough to allow <br />for a complete waterway through the Redwood Shores project; that <br />16 years ago there were approx. 700 miles of waterways along the <br />bay but are now only slightly over 400 due to vaious fill pro- <br />jects, that he questioned need for 6 land bridges as presently <br />planned over certain waterways in the project: that he would en- <br />courage the Belmont slough extension. <br /> <br />~ç"OMþt[ISi~IQ~R -íGJ)ODI~q referred to suggeste'd rules and regulations <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />for Stulsaft Park and inquired on Uno dog-----allowed" rule and <br />was advised that city ordinance prohibits dogs in parks. Mr. <br />Wooten stated that two children had recently been bitten by dogs <br />in Community Park. 'ITTì <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Balzarini explained that his suggestions for rules and regula- <br />tions was at the suggestion of Fire Chief Lodi in a letter dated <br />August 1st suggesting permanent supervision or control at park to <br />avoid possible loss of entire park by fire, fire conditions being <br />serious at this time of year.
