Chairman Beals delegated Commissioners Thompson and
,Sipes and Recreation Director, Red Morton, to attend and requested
that" they stand firm against rip-rapping or guniting and to stress
that complete covering of the creek was the only acceptable. solu-
tion as far as the Park and Recreation Commission was concerned.
It was noted that about 5 to 7 acres of usable land would be gain-
ed if creek is straightened and covered - land that presently is
not usuable, and that Master Plan for Community Park developed
some time ago shows creek as covered and perimeter parking planned -
traffic being done away with through park.

AGENDA 7 -VETERANS (BLVD) BEAUTIFICATION, PASCO BALZARINI: Mr.
Balzarini to discuss with Mr. Scherer tomorrow. ISLANDS - Mr. Balzarini said he had no

- "

orders as yet for planting in these islands but does have author-
ization for planting of islands at Jefferson and st.
