AGENDA 8 - Marina Landscaping Plan - Pasco Balzarini: Mr. Balzarini presented Park Foreman, John Yoshida, who showed preliminary sket- ches for landscaping at Marina. Mr. Yoshida was complimented on his ideas and sketches for beautifying areas at the Marina. Comm- ission suggestions: that cement with exposed aggregates be consid- ered in lieu of suggested macadam for base at picnic area (cement more durable and inviting looking): some sort of divider (plants or planter) to separate parking area and access road from picnic area-not high enough to block views from other parts of Marina: a llboard walk" walkway around perimeter of Marina at waters edge. Chairman Beals appointed Ann Gooding as chairman and Jasper Sipes to work with Mr. Yoshida, and Mr. Balzarini and Mr. Morton, and bring in a report at the October meeting. AGENDA 9 - "Rules and Regulations for Stulsaft Park II ; Chairman Beals appointed Doris Thompson as chairman and Commissioners Knecht and Whitmore as a committee to work on suggested rules and report back at October meeting. agenda 10 - "CREEK COVERING COMMUNITY PARK": Chairman Beals stated that City had bid to realign, straight- en and gunite creek for $79,000 and that he had been advised that it would cost an additional $100,000 to box and cover the entire creek. Mr. Beals noted additional usuable acreage of over 5 acres that would be created by full covering of creek and reco- mmended that we stand firm in our request for complete covering. commissioner Whitmore cited ugly condition in Atherton where creeks had been gunited a couple of years ago and said he felt the $79,000 for guniting ~ould be money thrown away.
