Commi- <br />ttees to discuss report and possible recommendations of change. <br /> <br />2 : MULTI- PURPOSE BUILDING REPORT - JACK STUART: Mr. st uart <br />described progress on building and noted that time schedule <br />is proceeding beautifully, displayed samples of roofing and <br />other materials, color charts, samples of inside-outside <br />finishes, carpeting, vinyl, tile, formic as , etc., as rec- <br />ommended by Commission 'Sub-Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />ON MOTION of Commissioner Stuart, seconded by Commissioner <br />Whitmore, and passed, color charts, materials, finishes, etc., <br />as proposed by the sub-committee were approved by the Comm- <br /> <br /> <br />. . <br />lSSlon. <br /> <br />Chairman Beals commended Mr. Stuart and his committee (Knecht, <br />and Thompson, plus Red MOrton and PaBCO Balzarini) for their <br />interest and follow through on the project. Chairman Beals <br />,sked Mr. Stuart to contact City Manager Ullrich concerning <br />presentation to Council and if necessary to make the pre- <br />sentation. <br /> <br />AGENDA 3: ROSE GARDEN - DORIS THOMPSON: Mrs. Thompson asked <br />item be removed from agenda for two months. She will follow <br />up on suggestion by Mr. Morton that a Rose Garden be consid- <br />ered at new multi-purpose building site for a project for <br />the Fun After Fifty Club as part of the activity program of <br />the group by letting them develop and maintain it. <br /> <br />AGENDA 4: HOOVER SCHOOL POOL - ALFRED MORTON. Contract awarded <br />to U. S. Construction Co. as noted in correspondence item #1. <br /> <br />AGENDA 5: PARK SIGNS - JACK SWART AND BOB WHITMORE: Mr. Whit-. <br />more noted that new school has started that more ideas for <br />design should be available. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA 6: REDWOOD SHORES - HOWARD ULLRICH. Chairman Beals <br />announced that Mr. Ullrich could not be present due to BCDC <br />meetings today and tonight. Mr. Beals referred to news <br />story re 40- acre park planned as part of the Marine World <br />complex in the Shores project and that the newspaper item <br />had been first information re such plans. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioners expressed concern that they had not inown <br />such plans were in the making and asked Secretary Thompson <br />to request that Commission be kept informed ahead of time on <br />matters and plans concerning parks and recreation so that <br />it could responsibly act in its advisory c~acity for ~e <br />best interests of the public.
