<br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA 7: MARINA LANDSCAPING PLAN - PASCO BALZARINI: In the <br />absence of Mr. Balzarini Mr. MOrton reported things progress- <br />ing nicely and that State representatives had been pleased <br />with perimeter landscaping plans as developed by John Yoshida. <br />Mrs. Thompson asked if any landscaping was planned along the <br />6' cyclone fencing or in the 'parking complex. Commissioner <br />Sipes, representative to the Council Marina Committee, said <br />several islands had been designed in the parking area for <br />landscaping. Chairman Beals asked that Mr. Sipes keep Comm- <br />ission informed. Mr. Morton noted that only limited number <br />of dollars were available from remaining State funds and ex- <br />pressed the hope that next year's budget could contain funds <br />for b~lance of landscaping. <br /> <br />AGENDA 8: COMMITTEE FOR RULES AND REGULATIONS-STULSAFT PARK: <br />Mrs. Thompson,- chairman presented rules and regulations de- <br />veloped by her committee (Knecht, Whitmore, Balzarini and <br />Wooten). As revised by the Commission, this information <br />will be sent to Mr. Balzarini for processing through the <br />City Attorney for Council approval. <br /> <br />Sa <br /> <br />Commissioner Stuart told of notifying Police Department of <br />adjacent property owner's cutting of trees in Stulsaft Park, <br />noting that he considered the tree cutting a- flagrant abuse <br />of public property, and asked if any action had been taken. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Yoshida was asked to follow up on the matter. <br /> <br />AGENDA 9: CREEK COVERING - COMMUNITY PARK: Chairman Beals re- <br />ferred to information presented to Council, City Manager, <br />Planning Commission, Park & Recreation Commission, Staff, <br />etc., re-iterating Commission stand for complete creek cov- <br />ering and advised that matter would soon be before Council <br />for action. Mr. Beals asked Mr. Knecht to follow up. The <br />Commission complimented Chairman Beals on job done on summ- <br />erizing Commission thinking on the creek problem. <br /> <br />COMMENTS OF COMMISSIONERS, RECREATION DIRECTOR, PARK SUPERIN- <br />TENDENT, ON OLD OR NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />C~mm~s~ion~r S;pes: reported on Sept.' 19th meeting of Coun- <br />cil Marina Committee - that Committee was well organized: that <br />Sea Scouts would be permitted to have-old harbormaster's building <br />if it can be moved and renovated to meet building and fire stan- <br />dards; that Texaco Co. had 10 year lease and would install fuel <br />dock at Marina: that he had perosally felt the per gallon price <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />proposed was a bit high and had suggested a lower price; that <br />overhead wiring would be removed at Marina: that exposed agg~e- <br />qate had been approved for picnic area; and that Yacht Club will <br />sign a long lease with City. <br /> <br /> <br />.-."--.----.". _...n._--......~.. <br /> <br />-. <br /> <br />..1.05 <br /> <br />, -...-- n. . ... <br /> <br />
