Mr. stuart asked that the Police Department be asked to <br />move them out as soon as possible. <br /> <br />COMMÅ’SSIONER KNECHT - asked if the three rest room installations <br />proposed by the Director for 1967-68 included an additional <br />one only for Stulsaft Park and was advised by Mr. Morton <br />that the second one planned for the park in vicinity of the <br />day camp area was hopefully to be installed within thirty <br />days, and the third unit for this park is one noted in 67-68 <br />proposals. <br /> <br />PA,RK SUPERINTENDENT, Pasco Balzarini - said hoped to use turf at <br />Marina lawn area: that sprinkler system installation at Multi- <br />purpose had been started and shrub and tree orders had been <br />placed: that Maddux Park was complete except for new fountain; <br />that drilling had started 551 below former cinnabar mine area <br />at Stulsaft Park. Chairman Beals asked Mr. Balzarini to check <br />on additional lot purchase at Chestnut Park so that improve- <br />ments to the park could begin. <br />Commissioners Stuart and Knecht recommended moving of the <br />Stanford launching area (ramp) to a site adjacent to the <br />main launching ramp, east of "old yacht clubll building. Mr. <br />Morton said lIold yacht club" building was to be burned down <br />by the Fire Department in a fire fighting test, after which <br />consideration could be given to moving of the Stanford ramp. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON - complimented Mr. Balzarini on landscaping <br />progress at the Marina; said that John Yoshida would have <br />rose garden 'information for Feb. meeting. She asked if Park <br />Dept. was planning on entering the Fiesta this year. Mr. <br />Balzarini said no-on account of lack of man-power. <br /> <br />NOMINATING COMMITTEE - Chairman Beals appointed the following to <br />the Nominating Committee: Jim Knecht, chairman: Jasper <br />Sipes and Ann Gooding.
