145 AGENDA: 1 - STATUS OF BUDGET REQUESTS -.Chairman Whitmore. Mr. Whit- more said he had ~sked City Manager Ullrich to advise him when the Recreation and Park budgets were to be discussed by the Council so that commissioners could attend but had not re- ceived any information up to this date. Mr. Whitmore will again .- check with the City Managers office. commissioners commented on weeds in the various parks, play- grounds, divider strips, etc., throughout city. Mr. Balzarini said-heavy Spring rains and lack of funds for manpower-seasonal labor-were the reasons why attention has not been given. On MOTION of Commissioner Stuart, seconded by Commissioner Williams, and passed, it was voted to suggest to Council through the City Manager that lack of sufficient funds for maintenance of our many parks and beautified areas, a number of which had been add- ed rather recently, were not permitting our facilities in Redwood City to be maintained in-a quality manner. 2 - HOOVER POOL - Alfred Morton.
