<br />14_9. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Arnett informed 'Commission he had a copy of <br />an SRI report on state-wide recreation trends for the future <br />that members of the Commission could read. Mr. Arnett felt <br />this report very clearly spelled out the need for increased <br />interest and spending for recreation. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Williams pointed out the need for net straps <br />as height gauges on some of our tennis courts. Ohter needs <br />were discussed; receptacle for trash, signs to keep people <br />off the courts with anything but tennis shoes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Stuart asked that Commission members be kept <br />informed on plans for exhibits at the Fiesta. <br /> <br />Park Superintendent Balzarini reported that Chestnut play- <br />ground should be completed this week, and that Hetch-Hetchy <br />right-of-way is now completed. <br /> <br />Director of Recreation Morton said he will check with Mr. <br />Art Eskelin regarding the painting of the curbs red on <br />Roosevelt Avenue in front of the old recreation building. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:25 p.m. <br /> <br />\I. <br /> <br />CHIARMAN ROBERT WHITMORE, SECRETARY PRQ-TEM, <br />R.
