<br /> <br />.. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />-153 <br /> <br />comissioner¡ noted obvious guniting preparations for part of <br />creek at Community Park. <br /> <br />On motion of Commissioner James Knecht, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gooding, the secretary was asked to advise the City Manager that <br />the Commission was alarmed at apparent guniting preparations to <br />a portion of Community park Creek'at its easterly end, the sec- <br />tion known at the Hetch Hetch R/W, and that said preparation in- <br />cluded evidence of a fence barrier installation for both sides <br />of the creek which would preclude use of the right=of-way for <br />the proposed perimeter parking area which would eventually dis- <br />allow all inside the park parking; and, further, that it was <br />the understanding of the Commission that guniting was not rec- <br />ommended for the Community Park creek and that work on the creek <br />would be limited to a thorough cleaning and minor re-alignment <br />until'such time as funds became available for ultimate covering <br />of it. . passe'd. I -T I <br /> <br />and pictures he had taken and will later show to commission. <br />Grand Junction had received a national award for beautification; <br />commented that mo-st all of the parks he had' visited had been <br />completed parks - on cities large and small, and suggested tha t <br />Redwood City should be able to finish up theirs. <br /> <br />£o~is~iRn~F~,~~~qi~~- complimented the Recreation Department <br />for their Day Camp program this year as being the best one <br />ever I and outst'anding.
