<br />155 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion followed which included: That development costs <br />which would include a great deal of earth moving because of <br />the steep terrain in order to develop the site; that such <br />costs 'would probably prohibit substantiation from a practical <br />standpoint toward develop~ent of the crest of the hill for park <br />and open space purposes. <br /> <br />It was suggested that the vista concept could possible be main- <br />tained by utilizing the tops of the adjoining water tanks through <br />proper safeguards and planning. <br /> <br />On MOTION of Dixon Arnett, seconded by James Knecht, the Park & <br />Recreation Commission voted to go on-record as indicating that' <br />it is not now nor would it be in the foreseeable future inter- <br />ested in the acquisition of IlMotorcycle Hill" or a part thereof <br />for park usage. Passed. <br /> <br />4. Correspondence from Planning Department to Park Department <br />under date of August 25th re Marine Park Plans along Belmont <br />Slough in the Redwood Shores project - 1st of 3, 1- acre vista <br />parks. It was indicated that the levee 6 to 1 slope would be . <br />acceptable to form an overlook and provide initial access to the <br />tip of Redwood Peninsula.
