..1.97 of available land; questions were asked on status of early plans for golf courses in Shores project, plans for 35-acre park in pro- ject, consideration given for regional park complex, etc.; it was . noted that contacts had been made with City and County of San Franc- isco for possible land lease for golf courses on water department property but decision not possible until location of extension of Junipero Serra freeway determined; asked that~whenever a park and recreation element is under consideration at the planning level that the commission and staff be apprised of plans; advised that a Park & Recreation Commissioner would be appointed to attend Planning Commission meetings when agenda items pertain to parks and recreation. Stuart at 7:34 p.m. on May 1, 1968, at the C.A.B. ON ROLL CALL, the fol1owing"commissioners were noted present: Chairman Stuart, Doris C. Thompson, Bob Whitmore and Jim Williams. Absent: Commissioners Ann Gooding and Jim Knecht. (As of this meeting, a vacancy exists on the commission and its members total six.) Also present: Councilman Dixon Arnett; City Manager Howard Ullrich; Planning Director, Ken Schroeter; John Yoshida, Park Department; Bill Paulson and Bill Wooten, recreation supervisors7 Mrs. Percy wilson; Fun After Fifty members: Pres. .Edith Slack, Eleanor Benson, Mary Nelson, Roy Moritz < and 1st. V-pres. Joseph MattusJ and Althea Knight, stenographer. Mînutes of the regular meeting of April 3, 1968, were approved as corrected, the correction being to Page 5, line 11, "CHAIRMAN STUART.~...' "oak1eaf fungus" being changed to read "oak root fungus", and the recommendation of Secretary Thompson that the minutes of the Special Meeting of April 29th be approved at the June 5,1968, meeting, was accepted, on motion of Commissioner Whitmore, seconded by Commissioner Williams, and passed. Co~- issioners Knecht and Gooding being noted absent.
