Secretary will advise Tribune and City Officials. 10 - ROUNDTABLE - DISCUSSION ON OLD OR NEW BUSINESS BY COMMISS- IONERS, DIRECTOR OF RECRFATION, PARK. SUPERINTENDENT: , commdssioner Knecht complimented Commissioner Thompson on.the. 4 dedication ceremonies for the Catherine Brennan Rose Garden; asked about installing a higher fence at Mitchell field, poss- ibly 51, in order to keep balls from going into the creek. (Mr. Morton will check); asked if permission can be secured to drive a car to picnic areas in Stulsaft Park. (Mr. 'Balzarini advised that permits can be secured for this purpose); and suggested the urgent need for more rest rooms near the picnic areas in Stulsa~ Park. Mr. Balzarini explained that he had requested funds to complete such a project-a year ago but no action had been taken. He further explained that a "Super Securll unit (facility build- ing or ushell") had been purchased a year ago for the rest room but had been unable to complete project before end of budget period due to manpower shortage - sewer and water lines, cement foundation, etc. ,-and that the needed funds had not been carried over to"" the following budget as' requested nor cetherwise. provid- ed in the 67-68 budget. . On motion of Commissioner MOrgan, seconded by Commissioner: Whit-, more, it was voted to recommend that $3,900 be included in the 68-69 budget so that. the urgently needed and additional rest ~ room could be installed in Stulsaft Park. Passed. .. Commissioner Gooding said she had received many calls about the fine way that sign ups for camp had been handled this year and~~ complimented Ginger McDougall on her method of handling - sign- ups had been completed in 1 3/4 hrs. instead of the 4, hrs. last year. Commissioner williams said he had attended rose garden dedication and Flower and Art Show; advised that he understood a new Council Marina committee had been appointed but had had no notification of any meeting.
