205 5 - C.A. B. RULES & REGULATIONS - DIRECTOR OF RECRFATION: Mr . Morton suggested that fee be establi~hed to cover a "sit-down II type wedding reception to a maximum limit of 300 people. Chairman Stuart asked that sub-committee meet and present rec- ommendations at the July meeting - Ann Gooding, chairman; Comm- issioners MOrgan and Thompson; staff members Morton and. Paulson. 6 - MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY PARK DISCUSSION - COMMISSION: Discussion included: present master plan should be updated and a complete and comprehensive master plan should envision the ult- imate in development of the park, including creek covering, tim- ing for completing park7 additionalnprivate" projects in park (Armory, etc.) not be permitted, updating of master plan be done with idea of complete and eventual total acquisition of peoperty in and around present park property as it became available; . completing of C.A..B.¡ that professional landscape architect and park planners be secured to assist commission and staff to the total development and enlargement of the park and guide lines set for orderly and rapid completion of it. on MOTION of Commissioner Whitmore, seconded by Commissioner Thompson, chairman Stuart was authorized to appoint a sub-comm- ittee to study and review plans and present recommendations on how to proceed to update the master plan for Community Park. Passed. Mr. Stuart appointed the following committee: Bob Whitmore, Chairman: Artie-Ree Morgan, Ass't. Chairman; Jim Knecht,Alfred Morton and Pasco Balzarini. 7 - MONTHLY REPORT - PARK DEPT: Commissioner Knecht complimented department on outstanding landscaping-behind C.A.B. and rose gar- den, and fine condition of the 3 little league fields. Chair~an Stuart noted the many extra projects during the month beyond nor- mal park department duties - completion of rose garden, land- scaping at C.A.B., preparing field~ for little league games,etc. 8 - MONTHLY REPORT - RECREATION DEPT: Commissioner Knecht comp- limented department on fine monthly report and suggested that both recreation and park departments beq~ven p~Q¡icity on their projects and activities. It was suggested that good public re- lations would result from the public's knowing just what was being accomplished by both departments.
