Mr. Schroet~r explained that land bank concept is dependent upon population projections; that first development is 1/2 acre per hun- dred1 that council had agreed to accept dedicated land to total of 150 acres over-all in lieu of a 35 acre improved park as had ini- tially been proposed; that land bank was predicated on 1/4 acre per hundred; that areas proposed for General Plan is for 4 times this amount; that commission preferences should be made known now and suggestions volunteered. The commissioners complimented the Recreation Department on its report and suggested that this inform- ation be sent to the Tribune. It was noted that R.C. Kiwanis Club would probably provide additional monies for worthy youngsters for lessons, tickets, etc., for next year. 2 - BUDGET CO~TTEE - Report. Commissioner ¡Thompson, chairman: Mrs. Thompson gave progress report and told of meeting of Oct. 28th when discussion included need of getting funds to develop perimeter parking on Dickey Street; hiring of park planner and up-dating Comm- unity Park and for working in Redwood Shores planning; Police Youth Club addition which is starting next month and possible new location for barbeque shelter - suggestion being to area between gym and tennis courts; conc~rn of parks and recreation plans; turf bank at Community to help clean-up unplanted areas temporarily and which could be used in other part of city when needed, at a later date; completing of Community Park: restrooms and picnic areas at -Stulsaft. 3 - FEE SCHEDULE CHANGE.
