FXS:mc*l. 10/28/92 (049/31) <br /> O R I G I N A L 11/2/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11882 <br /> RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE OF LOCAL <br /> CONDITIONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE AND <br /> NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO CERTAIN <br /> PROVISIONS OF ARTICLES IV, V, VI, VII, VIII AND DIVISIONS <br /> 2 AND 3 OF ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 AND CHAPTER 31 OF THE <br /> CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY; ADDING ARTICLES IV, V, <br /> VI, VII, VIII AND DIVISION 2 OF ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 <br /> OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDING <br /> AND STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING <br /> BY REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE UNIFORM BUILDING <br /> CODE, 1991 EDITION" , THE UNIFORM BUILDING STANDARDS, 1991 <br /> EDITION" ; THE UNIFORM BUILDING SECURITY CODE, 1991 <br /> EDITION" ; THE UNIFORM HOUSING CODE, 1991 EDITION" ; "THE <br /> UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1991 EDITION" ; " THE UNIFORM <br /> PLUMBING CODE, 1991 EDITION" ; AND "THE NATIONAL <br /> ELECTRICAL CODE, 1990 EDITION" , MODIFIED HEREIN, AND MADE <br /> APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022 . 1 , et <br /> seq. , of the Government Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of <br /> the City of Redwood City, this Council proposes to adopt by <br /> reference the "the Uniform Building Code, 1991 Edition, the <br /> Uniform Building Code Standards, 1991 Edition, the Uniform <br /> Building Security Code, 1991 Edition, the Uniform Housing Code, <br /> 1991 Edition, the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1991 Edition, the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code, 1991 Edition, and the National Electrical <br /> Code, 1990 Edition" (hereinafter referred to as the "Code") ; and <br /> WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or <br /> modifications are proposed to be made to the substantive <br /> provisions of said Code, which changes or modifications are <br /> reasonably necessary due to local conditions; and <br /> WHEREAS , the changes and additions to said Code, which are <br /> proposed to be made clarify the Code and in certain instances, <br />
