FXS:mci7, 10/28/92 (049/31) <br /> impose more stringent protection requirements then are required <br /> by the Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 17958 .7 of the California Health and Safety <br /> Code requires insofar as such changes and additions relate to <br /> apartment houses, hotels, motels and dwellings, and buildings and <br /> structures accessory thereto, that the governing body of a city, <br /> before making any changes and additions, shall make an express <br /> finding that such changes and additions are reasonably necessary; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . In connection with the adoption of that certain <br /> ordinance entitled, "Ordinance Repealing Articles IV, V, VI , VII , <br /> VIII and Divisions 2 and 3 of Article IX of Chapter 9 and Chapter <br /> 31 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; Adding Articles IV, <br /> V, VI, VII, VIII and Division 2 of Article IX of Chapter 9 of the <br /> Code of the City of Redwood City Relating to the Establishment of <br /> Regulations and Standards for Building and Structures in the City <br /> of Redwood City and Adopting by Reference the Following Codes: <br /> 'The Uniform Building Code, 1991 Edition' , 'The Uniform Building <br /> Standards, 1991 Edition' ; 'The Uniform Building Security Code, <br /> 1991 Edition' ; 'The Uniform Housing Code, 1991 Edition' ; 'The <br /> Uniform Mechanical Code, 1991 Edition' ; 'The Uniform Plumbing <br /> Code, 1991 Edition' ; and 'The National Electrical Code, 1990 <br /> Edition'" , it is hereby expressly found and determined that <br /> modifications, deletions and additions made to the aforesaid Code <br /> as set forth in the ordinance entitled, <br /> 2 <br /> 11882 <br />
