II. SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />Claims Management, Inc. will meet all standards and expectations set forth in the City of <br />Redwood City's Request for Proposal and all workers' compensation statutes, regulations <br />and rules issued by the Department of industrial Relations. <br />The following summary statement reviews how CMl will satisfy those standards. These <br />services are similar to those offered to every CMl client, public or private, and they include: <br /> <br /> General Provisions <br /> <br /> 1. Study and evaluate the Client's current operations and design and implement a <br /> complete workers' compensation claims administration program to serve, protect, and <br /> defend the Client. <br /> <br /> 2. Successfully maintain, adjudicate, control, and manage the Client's workers' <br /> compensation self-insurance program. <br /> <br /> 3. In all ways, act as a partner with the Client to administer a cost-effective, successful <br /> program while remaining an independent contractor. <br /> <br /> 4. Maintain all required bonds and insurance. <br /> <br /> 5. Design and implement an orderly transition from the former Third Party Claims <br /> Administrator to CMl. <br /> <br /> Program Development <br /> <br /> 1. Consult with the Client and assist in developing required procedures in compliance with <br /> state law. <br /> 2. Assist in training the Client's staff on processing industrial injury claims. <br /> <br /> 3. Keep the Client informed regarding proposed changes in workers' compensation laws, <br /> rules and regulations affecting its responsibilities in the program. <br /> <br /> 4. Provide information on developments, changes or problem areas in the Client's program <br /> and assist in formulating solutions to problems. <br /> <br /> 5.
