RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONSTRUCTION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE ASSOCIATION OF BAY AREA GOVERNMENTS FOR THE BAY TRAIL PROJECT AT THE BLOMQUlST STREET EXTENSION WHEREAS, on April 9, 2001, the City Council of the City of Redwood City adopted a resolution approving and authorizing the submittal of an application to the San Francisco Bay Trail Project, a non-profit organization administered by the Association of Bay Area Governments, to construct a bicycle/pedestrian facility relating to the Blomquist Street Extension Project; and WHEREAS, on October 9, 2001, the City of Redwood City was notified that a grant of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000) had been awarded the City by the San Francisco Bay Trail Project for the Blomquist Street Extension Project; and WHEREAS, pdor to the disbursement of grant funds, the City Council must adopt a resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Construction Grant Agreement (the "Agreement"), a copy of which is on file with the City Clerk's Office, with the Association of Bay Area Governments. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the Agreement with the Association of Bay Area Governments for the Blomquist Street Bay Trail Project is hereby approved. 2. That the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and to attest the Agreement, for and on behalf of the City. 3. That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for the City to implement the construction of a bicycle/pedestrian facility as part of the Blomquist Street Extension Project. 4.
