g. 2C-3 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION FOR MAINTENANCE OF NEW BICYCLE <br /> PATH ADJACENT TO HIGHWAY 101, WHIPPLE AVENUE ON- <br /> RAMP TO SKY WAY FRONTAGE ROAD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of <br />Transportation (CalTrans), has presented plans for the construction of a bicycle <br />path adjacent to the east side of Highway 101 from Whipple Avenue on-ramp to <br />Sky Way frontage road in the City of San Carlos; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CalTrans will construct the bicycle path during its widening of <br />Highway 101, at no cost to the City, if City agrees to maintain said bicycle path; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City may desire to add design specifications to said CalTrans <br />bicycle path; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CaITrans has confirmed that City will be permitted to add said <br />design specifications for a large-diameter recycled water line to CalTrans' bicycle <br />path construction bid if City so desires; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said draft plans and desires to enter into a <br />bicycle path maintenance agreement with CalTrans. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That said agreement, is hereby approved and effective on the dates <br />specified below; and the City Manager is directed to sign the same on behalf of <br />the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />F:Atty/Reso.1273 1 <br />011602 <br /> <br /> <br />
