(Mr. Coffis arrived 8:05) <br /> <br />Mr. Sue noted that plans were refinements of earlier plans of about <br />a month ago with some subtle refinements and changes as suggested <br />by Commission and provided Commissioners with a Cost Estimate Chart <br />re Basic Park Development, with Recirculating Stream, and various <br />groups (A-B-C-D-E for Discretionary Development, plus Development of <br />Area Q, Plan C. Mr. Sue noted that costs include a 2~/o factor for <br />contingency and escalation; no costs allowed for site acquisition <br />or street frontage developments: and that figures indicate that de- <br />velopment of park may vary from $500,000 to $1,250,000 depending <br />on degree of development desired or money available, Mr. Sue also <br />stated that estimates would probably hold good for 1 year, possibly <br />a little longer, but might change if done in 2 years; cost figures <br />were based on units of work and experience of past costs of apparatus, <br />etc.; that a further study had been done on grades and grading stud- <br />ies and that a gently rolling topography can be achieved and all <br />areas designed to mowable slopes for tractor drawn mower; and that <br />drainage problems and flood control problems could be solved through <br />the site; that a recirculating stream and pools concept could provide <br />water throughout the year in the channel; a 30" storm drain-bypass <br />could handle the early dirty flood control waters without their <br />going into the stream channedl¡ that the park slope (Valota to approe. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />-, <br /> <br />,"- <br /> <br />:, <br /> <br />
