<br />. <br /> <br />Prepare Draft Foundation Memo (Type Selection Letter): Prepare preliminary <br />recommendations for foundations in accordance with DOS requirements and provide a <br />Type Selection Memo with the LOTB. Attend type selection meeting in Sacramento for <br />the proposed structure and any non-standard retaining walls. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Prepare Final Foundation Report: Prepare detail report including design <br />recommendations for foundation types and footing elevations lateral design capacities, <br />pile foundation recommendations or spread footings. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Discuss seismic considerations, evaluate the liquefaction potential and comment on the <br />site soil conditions from this standpoint. Information related to Caltrans Seismic design <br />criteria such as depth to rock like material and peak rock acceleration shall be provided. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Prepare a separate Foundation Report. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Using the general plan as a base map, prepare Log of Test Borings in accordance with <br />the Caltrans standards. <br /> <br />1.10 & 1.11 Aerially Deposited Lead and Hazardous AIaterial Soil and Groundwater <br />Sampling <br /> <br />This work will be performed by our subconsultant, GEOCON, and will consist of the <br />follow tasks. <br /> <br />a) Pre-Field Activities <br /> <br />,.- Prepare a Health and Safety Plan to provide guidelines on the use of personal <br />protective equipment and health and safety procedures to be implemented during the <br />field activities. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />Prepare and suQmit a workplan approval. The Workplan will outline the specific <br />scope of work, procedures, and methods to be employed by Geocon to complete the <br />proposed soil sampling activities. The Workplan will also include a site plan <br />indicating the proposed boring locations. <br /> <br />,.- Obtain a boring permit from San Mateo County Environmental Health. <br /> <br />;,.. Perform an underground utility survey to identify utilities in the vicinity of the <br />proposed boring locations at the hazardous materials release sites identified in this <br />proposal. <br /> <br />,.- A Caltrans encroachment permit may be required to perform the soil sampling <br />actIvities wlthin the Caltrans right of way.
