<br />Ke~U. "lJ. <br /> <br />bbJ~ <br /> <br />Exhibit B <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK: ROUTE IOl/RALSTON AVE INTERCHANGE <br />MODIFICATIONS PS&E <br /> <br />Mark Thomas & Co. Inc. will perform all tasks in accordance with the City of Belmont <br />requirements and will follow Caltrans and regulatory agency procedures. All work <br />reports and documents subject to review and approval of Caltrans will follow Caltrans' <br />current policies, guidelines, and procedures. <br /> <br />The basis of the design for the proposed improvements of the Route 101/Raiston Avenue <br />Interchange will be the Caltrans approved Project Study Report in December 1999. It is <br />asswned that the PS&E will be developed only for Alternative 1, the City preferred <br />alternative with a direct connection to Island Park. The plans, specifications and estimate <br />(PS&E) will be submitted for conCUITent review by the Cities of Belmont and Redwood <br />City and Caltrans at the 35%, 65%, 95% and 100% level. Included during this phase of <br />work are the design surveys, geotechnical investigation and reports, right of way <br />engineering, aerially deposited lead testing and report, Phase II testing for hazardous <br />materials, potholing and locating existing underground utilities, and coordination with <br />utility companies for utility relocations. <br /> <br />It is assumed that the digital aerial photogrammetric mapping prepared for the Route 101 <br />auxiliary lane projects has been approved by Caltrans and Parts A, Band C have been <br />submitted and no additional work is required under this contract. <br /> <br />TASK 1 <br /> <br />1.1 Project ManafJement <br /> <br />MTCo will attend monthly meetings as necessary with the City and Caltrans in order to <br />maintain the project schedule, identify trends and issues, seek resolution of design issues, <br />and verify that the plans are in conformance with Caltrans standard design practices. <br />This task includes the preparation of trends meeting agenda, meeting minutes, <br />coordination of the design effort with MTCo's subconsultants, preparation and updating <br />CPM schedule, monthly progress reports, and meetings. <br /> <br />1.2 Data GatherÙlfJ & Field Review <br /> <br />This task includes gathering existing data and "as-built" drawings from Caltrans and local <br />agencies. Field visits will be made to verify existing conditions in comparison with <br />planimetnc mapping, record information, and utility system maps. <br /> <br />1.3 Lane Closure Report <br /> <br />A Draft Lane Closure Repan wIll be prepared and submitted to Caltrans for revIew. <br />Commcnts \vil] be incorporated and a Fina! report submitted to Caltrans for approval.
