5. Geotechnical investigation and report to enable design of the synthetic turf surface and any required structural items. 6. Other pertinent data including water source, controller location, power source, site grading, and any specific owner requests regarding field design and maintenance. 7. Program use criteria by the City user groups, including interscholastic use as applicable. SPECIAL PROVISIONS A. Without attempting to be all-inclusive and for purposes of clarity, the following items are specifically not included in the Scope of Services: 1. Meetings other than those listed. 2. Presentations to public bodies, other than those listed. 3. Project design documentation or costing in addition to what is noted above. 4. Engineering (Geotechnical, Mechanical). Structural Engineering services will only be provided for the sport field lighting design at McGarvey Field and the perimeter fencing / netting system for Griffen-Bechet Field. Services will be diligently pursued and every reasonable effort will be made to meet the mutually agreed upon schedule. If the completion of the services is delayed at any time in the progress of the work undertaken in this Agreement by conditions beyond the control of the Consultant; including but not limited to: strikes, lockouts, labor disputes, or the inability of Client, their consultants, utility companies, or jurisdictional agencies to provide required information, processing or direction; the time of completion shall be extended during such period and Consultant shall be held harmless from any and all claims arising out of such delay. PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION The fixed fee for the above services is based on the current hourly rate of the office as defined in the attached Charge Rate Schedule. Beals Alliance respectfully requests the following fixed fee for the services outlined in the Scope of Work. This fee is based on the anticipated work effort that will be required to successfully complete this project (based on our experience on the synthetic turf field projects) and is also based on an anticipated construction budget of $4,000,000. The below fees also include the design fees of our electrical and structural engineering consultants. Project Start-up and Pre-planning: $ 19,950 $ 27,875 Analysis and Design: Design Development: $ 70,700 $ 77,650 Construction Documentation: Reimbursible Allowance: TOTAL FEE: $ 3,500 $199,675 As noted above, beals alliance will be entitled to bill reimbursable expenses as noted on the attached Charge Rate Schedule. Additional services will be charged on a time and material basis. Charges for additional services will be billed separately. 5
