Commissioner Thompson <br />tioted that she saw the lIone-way" signs were down (behind the <br />landscaped area) and suggested that she hoped limited parking <br />behind this area would be permitted. Commissioner Stuart said <br />that it was his recollection that the Charley Brown restaurant <br />people were to replace the landscaping lost due to their building <br />on part of this landscaped area. (see Minutes of 6/4/69--pages 2/3-- <br />DCT). Various Commissioners expressed concern that its representa- <br />tive had not been advised of any meetings of the Council Marina <br />Committee during the past year and suggested that a letter be <br />written inquiring wþy. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER GUIDA inquired what facilities were available for <br /> <br />- 1 .. - I).... <br /> <br />picnics for large groups of people. Mr. Balzarini told of the picnic- <br />barbecue area near CAB (IiThorn propertyll) where portable barbecues <br />were available on request--also permanent barbecue in back of CAB <br />near cement area and picnic-barbecue area and available for use, and <br />that department have 3 larger barbecue units which could be used: <br />said they are trying to phase out the barbecue area behind the <br />Police Youth Building. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER STUART noted that Leslie had okeyed the Redwood City <br /> <br />... h..LI.I>.-- -_b- <br /> <br />Kiwanis-Sea Scout operation to 1974--on the opposite side of the <br />channel. <br /> <br />Commissioners expressed the desire to have the opportunity to approve <br />any plans for "landscapingll at the Marina. It was suggested that <br />perhaps the Commission could IIget backll some of the apparently <br />unusable property of the Port Commission--to expand a landscaping <br />of viewing area at the Marina. <br /> <br />9 - ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />- !
