It was suggested that discussion for acquiring additional barbecue tables be set for the September agenda. COMMISSIONER THOMPSON inquired into-the IIfree swimll program and was told that it had been fine; and that Sunrise Lions had purchased tickets several times also and distributed them to children in the target area; that a report would be provided Commission at the end of the season; suggested that -the matter of recommending to Council re re-a1igning of bicycle route through city, in some instances to less heavy traffic streets be an agenda item for October. CHAIRMAN WHITMORE told that he had gone to Vancouver for the Junior Soccer teams championships and told of the outstanding recognition gained by the Juventus Junior Soccer Team of Redwood City, noting that while our team did not win the championship, it was outstanding for its participation, soccer skill, sportsmanship and conduct, and "should be commended. Commissioner Knecht moved to recommend that a letter of commendation be sent to the Juventus Junior Soccer Team, seconded by Commissioner Thompson, and passed.
