<br />7' <br /> <br />PERSONAL APPEARANCES - -none <br /> <br />- Â....,. ~J - - - - <br /> <br />Commissioner Guida was presented with his name plate and attache <br />case. <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA - items for discussion and/or recommendation: <br />la - DOG ~~QW: Mr. Balzarini said he had several phone calls <br />about the holding of the dog show in Wellesley Crescent Park. <br />Chairman Whitmore said one lady had called him and complained <br />about the cars being parked around the park, etc. and so had <br />investigated the activity and found it well run and supervised, <br />and later, that the area had been left very clean. Commissioner <br />Guida had also checked and found everything in good order. <br />Commission discussion included that park facilities are pro- <br />vided for use of all citizens~ that this use was a proper <br />one for the area and had been well handled. <br /> <br />I - MINI PARKS - Jack A. Stuart, chairman <br /> <br />_LL 1_- <br /> <br />a. BRIZEE ~RQPERTY --Mr. Balzarini said development was <br />under way - sprinklers were in; turf seeded: 40x60 concrete <br />slab would be black-topped for use as basketball court: 3 <br />large culverts, plus large eucalyptus stumps, and sand, will <br />be brought in; that site would be divided into 3 areas; <br />provided pictures of progress to date. The secretary was <br />asked to send letters of thanks- to the Sunrise Lions Club <br />for manpower, and to Redwood City Kiwanis for their $1,000 <br />donation. <br /> <br />b. PALM-REGENT area - Commissioner Stuart moved to confirm <br /> <br />- - - <br /> <br />the recommendation-by the Mini-Parks Subcommittee for the <br />"Pa1m-Regentll site, and to investigate the possibilities of <br />a mini-park for this property arid to proceed with plans to- <br />incorporate it into a mini-park under a land lease arrange- <br />ment, etc., seconded by Commissioner Thompson, and passed. <br />Commissioner Schenck was noted absent. <br /> <br />c. TARGET AREA - Commissioner Knecht advised he had attended <br /> <br />. - - <br /> <br />the recent rock concert at Fair Oaks School; and that in his <br />opinion the undeveloped portion of the school site is the <br />best location for a mini-park for the area. <br /> <br /> <br />3 - ~~ON Rq~D - progress report. <br />City Manager Ullrich. <br /> <br />Deferred pending arrival of <br /> <br />2 - LA~~ l~qqUI~~~~qN ~RO~qSALS - <br />a. _IJ\KEVIEW I ~ ~R~AL L~A~Y - progre s s report: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />b.
