Continued to October. <br /> <br />II - BUDGET SUB-COMMITTEE - Doris C. Thompson: set meeting date. <br />Meeting set for Sept. 22nd, 9:30 a.m., Mr. Balzarini's office. <br /> <br />12 - ~E~GUE O~ ICALIFO~~I~ jCITIES ME~TING - San_Dieg~ - October 25/28- <br />delegate and request for funds: <br /> <br />Commissioner Knecht, seconded by Commissioner Stuart, moved to request <br />funds to send two delegates to the 1970 meeting being held in San Diego, <br />Oct. 25/28, passed. Commissioner Schenck was not present. Commissioners <br />Stuart, Thompson, and Whitmore (tent.) indicated interest in attending. <br /> <br />Budget sub-committee chairman, Commissioner Thompson, was asked to <br />include monies for such type meetings in requests for next year. <br /> <br />13 - CPR~/ D~~TRICT ~V m~e~~n~ - September 16th. <br />This is Commissioners Night; staff was asked to make reservations for <br />six commissioners and Park Superintendent Balzarini. (Secretary's note <br />the meeting was for October, not September. See October 7 meeting.) <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />14 - PARKLDEPAR~~NT - Picnic tables/fence for rose garden: <br />No funds are available in this year's budget. Referred to Budget Sub- <br />committee. <br /> <br />15 - NRPS NATIONAL FORUM - Hilton Inn, S.F. Airport - October 22/23 <br />Commissioner Stuart moved to request $25 for the "Organization Registra- <br />tion" (5 or more delegates) -advance registration, seconded by <br />Commissioner Guida, and passed. Commissioner Schenck was not present. <br /> <br />16 - G.A. P. - 1---970 ,Plans <br />Commissioner Thompson noted a conversation with Mrs. Ruth Olds that <br />she expects the program to continue this year. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Thompson moved to advise City Council that if school cares <br />to participate in the GAP program that we encourage them to get started, <br />seconded by Commissioner Knecht, and passed. Commissioner Schenck was <br />not present. <br /> <br />17 - MONTHLY REPORTS - a. <br /> <br />.... ...... <br /> <br />Park Department <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Recreation Department <br /> <br />commissioner Guida reiterated commission's request for more complete <br />reports by the Recreation Department. Mr. Wooten said he would see <br />that specifics were added. <br /> <br />
