<br />c. <br /> <br />Agreement-l <br />4/27/98 <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />affiliation in matters pertaining to occupancy, hiring, training, <br />upgrading, transfers, compensation or termination. <br /> <br />Fair Employment Practices <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />In the performance of this contract, the Contractor agrees to <br />not discriminate against any employee or applicant for <br />employment because of race, religion, color, national origin, <br />ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital <br />status, sexual preference, or political affiliation. The <br />contractor agrees to take affirmative action to ensure that <br />applicants are employed, and that employees are treated <br />during employment, without regard to their race, religion, <br />color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental <br />disability, marital status, sexual preference, or political <br />affiliation. Such action shall include, but not be limited to the <br />following: employment, upgrading, demotion or transfers; <br />recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or termination; <br />rates of payor other forms of compensation; and selection <br />for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor agrees <br />to post in conspicuous places, available to employees and <br />applicants for employment, notices to be provided by the <br />City of Redwood City setting forth the provisions of this Fair <br />Employment Practices section. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The Contractor agrees to permit access to his records of <br />employment, employment advertisements, application <br />forms, and other pertinent data and records by the State Fair <br />Employment Practices Commission, or any other agency of <br />the State of California designated by the awarding authority, <br />for the purposes of investigation to ascertain compliance <br />with the Fair Employment Practices section of this contract. <br /> <br />Nondiscrimination Based on Disability. <br /> <br />Contractor hereby agrees that it will comply with the provisions of <br />Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, <br />providing equal access and reasonable accommodations in <br />employment programs and services to persons who are disabled. <br /> <br />Interest of Public Officials. <br /> <br />No members, officers, employees, or agents of the City of <br />Redwood City, no member of the City Council and no other public <br />official who exercises any function or responsibility with respect to <br />this Agreement or Contractor's Program during his or his tenure, or <br /> <br />6 <br />
