DES:di'- 09/15/92 (113/32) <br /> WHEREAS , the Council of the City of Redwood City desires to <br /> encourage interjurisdictional cooperation for the planning and <br /> provision of HIV-related services and advocates increased state <br /> and federal financial support of such HIV-related services; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County of San Francisco, through its <br /> Department of Public Health and its Mayor' s HIV Health Services <br /> Planning Council, has exhibited a spirit of regional cooperation <br /> by voluntarily sharing its Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS <br /> Resources Emergency ("CARE") Act funding allocation with the <br /> Counties of Marin and San Mateo; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . This Council hereby designates the City and County of <br /> San Francisco to serve as the eligible designated applicant for a <br /> Fiscal Year 1992 appropriation for the HOPWA program on behalf of <br /> the San Francisco Eligible Metropolitan Area and authorizes said <br /> City and County to administer all aspects of the HOPWA grant on <br /> behalf of said Area. <br /> 2 . This Council hereby designates the San Mateo County <br /> Health Services , AIDS Program, as advisor to the City and County <br /> of San Francisco with respect to the use of HOPWA funds within <br /> the County of San Mateo. <br /> 2 11842 <br />
