FXS:c} 713/92 (033/31) <br /> J/05/92R <br /> O R I G I N A L 8/17/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11825 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF A JOINT HOUSEHOLD <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 2 , Division 30 , <br /> of the Public Resources Code (commencing with Section 41000) each <br /> city and each county, for the unincorporated area, in California, <br /> is required to prepare and adopt a Household Hazardous Waste <br /> Element ("HHWE") which describes the program which each city or <br /> county will implement for the safe collection, recycling, <br /> treatment and disposal of household hazardous waste; and <br /> WHEREAS, Sections 41000 et seq. of the Public Resources Code <br /> create in each county a local task force, constituted at the <br /> discretion of each county, to assist the development of said HHWE <br /> and to review and comment on the HHWE of the county and the <br /> cities of the county; and <br /> WHEREAS, the local task force in San Mateo County is the <br /> City/County Association of Governments ("C/CAG") ' and <br /> WHEREAS, cities and counties are allowed to work <br /> cooperatively with each other for the purpose of preparing said <br /> Household Hazardous Waste Elements; and <br /> WHEREAS , San Mateo County the municipalities of Atherton, <br /> Belmont, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster <br /> City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, <br /> Redwood City, San Carlos , San Mateo and Woodside, have prepared a <br /> Joint Household Hazardous Waste Element; and <br />
