FXS:cb 7/13/92 (035/31) <br /> ;/05/92R <br /> ORIGINAL 8/17/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 11824 <br /> RESOLUTION CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE <br /> JOINT HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT FOR THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY <br /> WHEREAS , pursuant to the provisions of Part 2 , Division 30 , <br /> of the Public Resources Code (commencing with Section 41000) <br /> cities and counties within the State are required to adopt a <br /> Household Hazardous Waste Element; and <br /> WHEREAS, in San Mateo County, the jurisdictions of Atherton, <br /> Belmont, Burlingame, Colma, Daly City, East Palo Alto, Foster <br /> City, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, <br /> Redwood City, San Carlos, San Mateo, Woodside, and the San Mateo <br /> County unincorporated area have joined together to prepare a <br /> Joint Household Hazardous Waste Element; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Joint Household Hazardous Waste Element will <br /> become a policy document when adopted by the sixteen (16) <br /> participating jurisdictions above listed and incorporated into <br /> the San Mateo County Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo <br /> is authorized by Public Resources Code Sections 21067 and 21165 <br /> and State CEQA Guidelines Section 15050 to assume the status of <br /> lead agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has assumed the role of <br /> lead agency for the Joint Household Hazardous Waste Element; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has performed an Initial <br /> Study and has determined that the proposed Joint Household <br />
