CORRESPONDENCE: 1. Letter. of resignation from Commissioner Jack Stuart, effective as of May 31st. Mr. Stuart-indicated that similar letter had been sent to Mayor Robert H. Bury. Pressure of business and personal obligations were cite-d as reasons for resigning from the Commission. Commissioner Knecht moved to accept Mr. Stuart's resignation, with regrets,' and asked that a 'letter be written expressing the Conunissm n' s thanks for Mr. Stuart's six years of service to the conunission and the hope that he would assist in fut~e projects ~ serving on citizens' committees, seconded by Commissioner Schenck, and passed. 2. Request from New Shakespeare Company for use of city facilities during June. Copies were sent to commissioners. This request was subsequently withdrawn by the Shakespeare Company - see Agenda 2; 3. Peninsula Camellia Society, R. E. Bernhardt, chairman and Director -request for Park Department to co-sponsor annual show at Veterans Building. Referred to Park Department for action; , 4.
