Mr. Alan Ribera made the presenta- <br />tion which included an estimated total design ~ee - schematic Master; Plan, <br />f~nished Master Plan, Working Drawings, Supervision: $21,200. Mr. Ribera <br />also provided figures for Hetch Hetchy Right-of-Way (3 example areas for <br />IItypical'~ development @ 2 acre~ each) and Land use study (general overall)- <br />'schematic Master Plan, Finished Master Plan, Working Drawings," Supervision: <br />$19,980. . <br /> <br />Discussion i~cluded that: Acquisition of additional prope~ty to site is <br />still presently in negotiation; that Council is interested in completing <br />acquisition of additional 4 acres; that application for State Grant ~must <br />be made prior to July .lst; that surface rights to H/H r/w,from Glenwood <br />to Oak Knoll already had been secured; that interested nearby residents <br />have formed a group of 100 families who are concerned with development <br />of the Canyon Road Par~ area and who. wish to be included in plans for <br />the park: that Master plan should be for presently-owned and surface-- <br />leased, and anticipated acquisition of additional property. <br /> <br />, . <br />. . <br />Commissioner Knecht moved to recommend to Council that,Ribera & Sue be <br />asked ,to prepare a schematic master plan for 12~ acres of Canyon Road <br />property for utilization of preparing application to State of California <br />for State loan, secon~ed by Commissioner Terr~ll, and passed. <br />b. REQUEST FOR STATE GRANT - Alfred Morton. (Discussed together with <br />nail above) <br />2 -~ - NEW SHAKESPEARE COMPANY - SF: Request to use ci ty facilities for <br />presentations on Saturday and Sunday afternoons in June, beginning <br />June 12 and 13, Clarence Ricklefs, producer. <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />As indicated under Correspondence, Mr. Ricklefs with drew his request <br />prior to tonight's meeting citing his reasons as - not enough time to <br />get adequate publicity for IImovell to Redwood City; Easter Bowl not in <br />condition at this time for this type of activity; and Stu1saft and- <br />.Community parks not appropriate for presentation. Mr. Ricklefs indicated <br />that he may be interested in Redwood City. for next year¡ Commissioners <br />expressed interest that this 'type of cultural activity should be encouraged <br />for the future. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
