"11I~~~~~t:~~IR ~~I ,~~ : Ci ty Manager Pro-tempore, Ken Schroeter <br />had no recollection that matter was requested to agenda of May 17th; <br />q~estioned if request could have been proposed to former City Manager <br />Ullrich; said he would look into the matter. <br />e. QI~~S - Mini-park ,.Chairman, James Knecht told of discussion with <br />PROBE group re the possibility of any group helping finance a mini-park <br />f~ the ~arget area: Commission Haynes told that there is a group of <br />citizens operating out of PROBE who a~e trying to form a mini park and <br />the Telephone COmpany ha~ contributed certain equipment. Mr. Haynes <br />also told that Chairman Thompson had taken him on a tour of park and <br />recreation facilities on May 22nd and he was most impressed with <br />Stulsaft Park. (Mr. Haynes left meeting at this time, due to another <br />. meeting which involved the target area.) <br />5 - ~~~~~~ Rß - surface ri~ts,. entire r~: progress report: <br />Mr. Schroeter will check into the present status of surface rights for <br />the above: said it was his understanding that such a request had not <br />been made, only reques~s for such areas as mini~park use are~s and~ <br />Canyon Road. Mr. Balzarini indicated he had worked with our Department <br />of PUblic Works in laying out the r/w to submit to S.F. J o¿I ~ <br /> <br />commissioner Terrill told of meeting she and Pasco Balzarini had had with <br />Asst. Park Superintendent of the City of San Mateo, Mr. Bullard, and of <br />learning of their Heritage Tree Project and the progress that had been <br />made, and urged that Redwood City also have such a tree ordinance. <br /> <br />Commissioner Terrill moved that the Commission authorize the Heritage <br />Tree Committee to request the City Attorney to develop a Heritage Tree <br />ordinance for our discussion at our July meeting, seconded by Commis- <br />sioner Guida, and passed.
