SCOPE OF SERVICES NOVEMBER 29, 1999 CIT'. )F REDWOOD CITY EAST BA YSHORE ROAD WIDENING CONSUL T ANT shall attend one preconstruction meeting with the CITY and the Construction Contractor to establish construction procedures, communications, and discuss critical aspects of the project. TASK 7: RECORD DRAWINGS As part of the contract specifications, CONSULTANT shall require the Contractor to maintain an up to date set of red lined plans documenting deviations from the contract documents. Based on these red-lined plans, CONSULTANT shall prepare a set of "As-Built" Plans in AutoCAD incorporating and clearly identifying the changes noted by the Contractor and deliver on disk or tape to the CITY with a set of mylar plots. CONSULTANT shall prepare these within 6 weeks of CITY'S acceptance of the Contractor's work. TASK 8: CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT The CONSULTANT shall also perform additional services and provide engineering support services during construction as to be determined. ASSUMPTIONS This scope of services and the CONSULTANT's associated design fee estimate is based on the following assumptions: . Environmental services for this project are not required or will be provided by others. Design shall be in imperial coordinates/units on a coordinate system to be provided by the CITY. CITY shall provide "front end" construction contract document (boiler plate). CONSUL T ANT shall prepare the technical specifications. CITY will provide the inspector and construction management, including materials testing. Should any of these services be required, CONSULTANT has the capability to provide these services, either directly or by a subconsultant, as extra work to this contract. Utility relocation will not be required. No permits from other than CITY agencies will be required. Should an encroachment permit be required of Caltrans, this will be considered extra services. This scope and associated fee assumes one update of the Task 3 - Preliminary Design plans prior to beginning Task 4 - Final PS&E, with one associated resubmittal of the preliminary design. Staging of construction will utilize standard methods and will be addressed only in the specifications, not on the plans. No Right of Way acquisition will be required.
