<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />(10/23/00) <br /> <br />AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Redwood City - San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this J.Q!;ray of ~, 2000, <br />by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California (hereinafter referred to as "City") and Redwood City - San Mateo County <br /> <br />Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as "Chamber"); <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Chamber has requested City to provide moneys during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001 for the maintenance and <br /> <br />improvement of the economy of the City of Redwood City by the general promotion and <br />development of local industry and commerce in the City of Redwood City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined that the promotion and development of the <br />industrial and commercial economy of the City of Redwood City is vital to the present <br /> <br />and future well-bring of all segments of the City of Redwood City, is in the public <br />interest, and benefits the entire community; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CONTRACT AMOUNT. City shall allocate to Chamber the sum of $38,250 <br /> <br /> <br />(Thirty Eight Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars) for exclusive use by the <br /> <br />Chamber. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />TERM: The term of the agreement is one year, commencing July 1, 2000, <br />and ending June 30, 2001. <br />
