<br />3. The dormant spray treatment to be applied to the tree shall be formulated to manage <br />common foliar and branch fungal diseases as well as over-wintering insects and their <br />. eggs. This spray may typically include an oil, a fungicide, and an insecticide with <br />some residual activity. The City will request the pest to provide the correct control <br />for. The pesticide applied shall be the least toxic pesticide available to provide <br />sufficient control for the pest situation. <br /> <br />4. The foliar spray treatment to be applied to the tree shall be formulated to manage the <br />target pest - such as aphids or scale, may be systemic, and may include a spray <br />adjuvant. The City will request the pest to provide the correct control for. The <br />pesticide applied shall be the least toxic pesticide available to provide sufficient <br />control for the pest situation. <br /> <br />5. The soil drench treatment to be applied to the tree shall be formulated to provide a <br />systemic pesticide for control of the insect or disease as requested. The soil drench <br />will be properly applied based on the size of the tree, and available soil within the <br />drip line. The City will request the pest to provide the correct control for. The <br />pesticide applied shall be the least toxic pesticide available to provide sufficient <br />control for the pest situation. <br /> <br />6. The trunk injection treatment to be applied to the tree shall be formulated to provide a <br />systemic insecticide or a fungicide to control the pest of disease as requested. The <br />trunk injection will be properly applied based on the size of the tree. The smallest <br />diameter holes possible shall be created while performing the treatment. The City <br />will request the pest to provide the correct control for. The pesticide applied shall be <br />the least toxic pesticide available to provide sufficient control for the pest situation. <br /> <br />7. The treatments shall be performed at a per tree price. <br /> <br />8. The City will provide the Contractor with the list of trees to be treated. The Contractor <br />shall provide the City the scheduled date of treatment within five (5) working days of <br />receipt of the list. Trees shall be treated within fourteen (14) working days of receipt <br />of the list. The Contractor shall notify the residents by telephone (name, address, <br />and phone number shall be provided by the City) at the addresses adjacent to the <br />tree to be sprayed, at least 48 hours in advance, providing the date the spray work <br />will occur. <br /> <br />9. In the event the spray does not occur on the scheduled date, the Contractor shall <br />contact the City and advise of the re-scheduling. In the event the spray does not <br />occur on the scheduled date, the Contractor shall notify the residents at least one <br />day in advance with the new scheduled date. The Contractor shall provide the <br />resident with the Contractor's name and phone number to contact with questions. <br />The Contractor shall notify the City two days in advance of the work to request <br />supportingl traffic control if necessary to deliver safe treatments. <br /> <br />10. Compensation for the above materials and work completed is included in the unit <br />price for Bid Items No.6, No.7, No.8 and No.9 in the Bid Proposal. <br /> <br />H. PRESERVATION OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PROPERTY <br /> <br />1. The contractor will be held responsible for the preservation of all public and private <br />property at the site of and adjacent to the work being done, and will be required to <br />exercise precautions to avoid and prevent any damage or injury thereto as a <br />consequence of their operation.
