A discussion followed regarding the policy of accépting reports. It was decided that when a report was accepted by the Commi~si~n, the report and recommendations were to be accepted in total unless some part was specifically removed for inde- pendent action. 12 REPORT ITEM 2 - Pro~ram Committee Tha Program Committae discussed their report a& submitted. MOtion: Commissioner Pãund moved to accept the Program Committee report in concept, ~seconded by Commissioner Rollins. . - The motion carried unanimously by ,"voice vote. REPORT ITEM 3 - Commission Relations Committee ---"'.~TI . The Commissioners' Code of Ethics was discussed. , - . MOtion: Commissioner Guida ~moved that the fourth paragraph on paie 1 of the Code of Ethics be rèmoved- except for the last sentence, secondeà by Commissioner Knecht. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. It was agreed that paragraph three on page two was to be deleted. A new paragraph was added concerning the Chairman speaking for the Commission at public gatherings. Motion: Commissioner Pound moved that the Commisssion adopt the Code of Ethics with its adopted corrections, seconded by Commissioner Weintraub. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. The Proposed Absentee Provision was discussed briefly. The phrase in the second sentence, "...be deemed to have resigned from the Commission, and the Chairman shall so notify the City Council," was deleted and replaced with the phrase,"... it will be the duty of the Chairman to so notify the City Council." Motion: Commissioner Pound moved to accept the proposed absentee provision to be included in the ordinance with the other proposed changes, seconded by Commissioner Weintraub. The Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. The provision, togeth~r with the other proposed changes, will be forwarded to the City Attorney for review. REPORT ITEM 4 - Monthly Reports A. ~artme!1tJl Mont1ù.y Reeorts The opening of the Fair Oaks Community Center was discussed briefly. Motion: Commissioner Guida moved to accept the Department Monthly Reports, seconded by Commissioner Pound. The motion carried unan~ously by voice vote.
