- 18 Commissioner Weintraub commended the staff on using bobh sides of the paper for the Parks & Recreation CoDmlission minutes in an ._-effort to save paper and cut costs. . Commissioner Guida briefly discussed violation of the Brown Act. He stated that the Group Workshop leader spoke of Brown Act release forms. The forms would contain information regarding meetings of three or more commissioners, the time they meet, and that no action was taken nor conclusions drawn. Mr. Weeks stated that he would check this through the City Attorney and request that a form be prepared if approved by the Attorney. Commissioner Rollins requested information on the rules and regulations of the Marina. Mr. Weeks offered to review the Marina operation with the Commission when convenient. Chairman Schenck realized that, with the resignation of Mr. Haynes, there was no one to Chair the Operational Policies committee. He therefore appointed Commissioner Rollins as Chairman of that committee. Chairman Schenck indicated that he wanted the minutes to record that he was disgusted that the Redwood City Tribune entitled the Commissioners' Code of Ethics as "Do's and Don'ts." He felt this was a very poor choice of words and a slur. Commissioner Pound felt that, even though the publicity seemed to have a negative approach, she felt that calling the matter to the attention of the public was worthwhile in that it pointed out that the Parks & Recreation Commission was attempting to work out a Code of Ethics for their conduct as city Commissioners. Chairman Schenck expressed his appreciation to the Commission for their support during his chairmanship. Commissioner Knecht expressed the Commissions' appreciation for having Larry Schenck as Chairman. The commissioners concurred. ADJOURNMENT Motion: There being no further business to conduct, it was moved by Commissioner Pound, seconded by Commissioner Rollins, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously by voice vote. 11:00 PM.
