" . <br />'."~,"~' ,..It <br /> <br />. <br />i . <br /> <br />9, <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTE S <br /> <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck moved to amend the minutes of the AprillO, 1974 <br />regular business meeting to read as follows: (Page 4, first motion.) <br /> <br />It was moved by CoDDD.issioner Knecht, Chairman of the Nominating <br />'Committee, that the following Commissioners be elected to office: <br /> <br />Commissioner Guida - Chairman <br />Commissioner Weintraub - Vice Chairperson <br />Comm.i~ -Pound---- - .: SecTetary-- <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Commissioner Knecht. The motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />MOTION: <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck moved that the Minutes be accepted- with.the---~"-- -----~-~'-" --. <br />above amendments, seconded by Commissioner Pound. The motion carried <br />unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />1. PRIDE Letter' <br /> <br /> <br />Norr is . <br /> <br />Councilman Norris spoke briefly regarding the Waterfront Month to be held <br />in June and the Redwood City PRIDE emphasis. The first week of June will <br />spotlight the Port, the second week will spotlight Recreation (Commissioners <br />were asked to act as hosts), the third week will emphasize Marine World <br />Africa U.S.A., the fourth week will emphasize Redwood Shores and the last <br />weekend is open at this time. <br /> <br />&. ~eks ~ntwned tMt signs will be post~ at four key locations throu~ut <br />the City and that outside restroom facilities would be provided. He also <br />mentioned that the Waterfront Month schedule is tentative at the present time <br />and will have some schedule changes. <br /> <br />MOTION: Co~isswner ~intraub ooved that the ~terfroot ~nth be act~ely <br />supported by the Commission, seconded by Commissioner Schenck. The <br />motion carried unanimously by voice vote. <br /> <br />2. City Council Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck mentioned that the minutes indicated that present <br />Commissioners would be asked to continue to serve on the Commission until <br />some decision was made as to how the new Commissioners would be appointed <br />by the City Council. <br /> <br />Cooocihm Norris spoke brief~ re~rdfug the ri~ procedure for appointrng <br />C~issioners. He stated the City Council wuld advertise at ~rge, usfug <br />~ai~ble ~dia, for people wo are interested Ú sening on various Co~ <br />missions.
